Type of Engineering: Aeronautical
Goal: help students to design and build a functioning glider that takes flight
Learning Outcomes: students learn the four forces of flight: thrust, lift, resistance, and weight (gravity).
Grade levels: 5th grade - 8th
Toolbox includes a class set with fifteen (15) individual student kits with all project materials (excluding wood and/or hot glue guns, or optional decorations)
Toolbox also comes with a Teacher Guide that includes:
- Lesson plan with instruction tips
- Build instructions with photos
- Extension/Enrichment ideas
- Note to parents
