Type of Engineering: Structural
Goal: Build the tallest free-standing gumdrop structure possible (K-3) or build a structure out of gumdrops and toothpicks that can bear weight (4th-6th grade).
Learning Outcomes: introduction to structural engineering; shape comparisons; load distribution; and building structures.
Grade levels: K - 6th grade.
Workshop time: 2 hours
